Born in France, Thomas Zamolo is an eclectic artist whose practice is rooted at the intersection of photography,  film, dance, and lighting design.

His creative journey began over 25 years ago in the world of performing arts, where he established himself as a dancer, rehearsal director, and theatrical lighting designer.

As a photographer, Thomas explores diverse themes—from surreal landscapes to psychologically charged, staged scenes. His work with instant photography reflects a deep fascination with the romantic, eerie, and painterly effects achievable through chemical processes. His photographs have been widely exhibited in both group and solo exhibitions across Europe and the United States. He is represented by Little Big Galerie in Paris and Arles.

Since 2010, Thomas has expanded his artistic practice into performance design, merging his dance and choreography background with a visual sensibility and a keen interest in the dramaturgical potential of light. As a lighting designer, he has created work for contemporary choreographers including Fred Gies, and Cristina Caprioli, Moritz Ostruschnjak, Sophia Mage and maintains an ongoing collaboration with Tilman O’Donnell.

Thomas is currently based in Stockholm.
